Welcome to HATZALAH of South Florida

Hatzalah of South Florida is a volunteer not-for-profit organization. Our primary mission is to save lives by providing basic life-support services in those vital first few minutes of an emergency situation until an ambulance arrives, with appropriate sensitivity to the religious and cultural needs of our community.

Hatzalah of South Florida is not a replacement for 911. We do not provide emergency or non-emergency transport. Our service is designed only to act as a bridge until an authorized governmental rescue unit can arrive. While we are supported and staffed by the Jewish community, Hatzalah provides care at no cost equally to all who are in need, regardless of race, religion or ethnicity.

They responded so quickly that they were at the house before my son even had the chance to pick up the phone and call me. Hatzalah assessed

  • When my 3 week old daughter was having trouble breathing, Hatzalah not only showed up within seconds of my wife’s call, but the volunteers were calming and assuring throughout her evaluation and transportation to the hospital. I can’t thank Hatzalah enough for taking such good care of not only my daughter during her medical
